about a year ago I tore an article out of a magazine I was reading while overseas.
the article, on a group of artists active during the late 50s and sixties in california, totally threw me. I still pull out the wrinkled ripped pages to get pumped on sculpture, poetry, collage, publication and the holistic way these people lived life as artists.

I like both rooms i sleep in. one is very minimalist
the other very cozy in a crowded way. I like the santa cruz mountains.
left a crazy scene to go walk around a city I used to live in.
walked down hawthorne twenty blocks and back up another twenty.
bought a pen and a big piece of nice white paper. rolled it up and kept walking.
stopped into Powell's bookstore and bought two books.
religion and poetry.
Stopped in to the Cup & Saucer cafe and had myself a scramble with potatoes, toast and coffee.
read, sipped, satisfied. watched others enjoying the solitude of being waited on.
returned to friends house, empty no one home.
drew and returned to the craziness. Beer from a keg back pack.
sun on my cheeks sweet.
